Motivation


One reason so few of us achieve what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to master anything in particular.

Well I have decided to master motivation! Motivation can take me places I've never gone before. Motivation will help me master:
  • my Social Life
  • my Optimistic outlook
  • my Career and creativity
  • my Intentions
  • my Activity level (fitness)
  • my Love for myself
  • my Leadership skills
  • my Yummy cooking
  • my Health coaching goals  
  • my Education 
  • my Attitude
  • my Life goals
  • my Taking pictures skills
  • my Youth
I'd say motivation will create balance in my life! Motivation can be spread through others...Thank You!

Day 18:Still Down

Still down and out! Work has been slow so they have been sending me home early ! Now that I have better been able to hold down food I'm starting to feel a bit better but still have some congestion! The smoothies help but as we know they kick out the toxins before we start getting better! Here is to hoping I feel 100% again real soon!

Day 14 vs. 15: Icky Sicky



Tuesday I had a banana for breakfast and lots of water...kind of skipped lunch
as I was not feeling well enough to eat :( 
Enjoyed a yummy pad thai outside after work...starting to get sick :( no fun
Wednesday morning headed out car shopping again....with no luck :( For breakfast I had
an egg and ancho chile pepper panini! 
I feel this doesn't apply to me...I love sweats and obviously wouldn't wear them if I didn't look dashing myself!
Especially when I am feel under the weather! 
Yes, especially when its about the scary movie you watched
on your date the night before that leaves you running up
the dark stairs in your house like a scared school girl :)! 
An amazon purchase I've been wanting to make for awhile!
For dinner I had a little bit of french onion soup...minus the cheese and bread,
and drank peppermint tea most of the night! This icky sicky has got to go! 
The dates food he made himself and sent to me via text:
 blackened chicken, sweet potatoes and fresh
vegetable juice...and I quote "feel free to post that masterpiece on your blog ;)"
He's lucky he said feel free because I was going to any way!
The only down fall with this meal is that I am sure it was being consumed
while watching KU basketball...not certain but I bet if I asked he'd say yes!


So glad to have my mac book back, sick in bed watching hulu and drinking tea! 

I love this pic because it is actually a sunrise in KC but it almost looks like a
sunset in California...sans the trees of course! Good night moon! Hope I wake up feeling better!

Day 12 & 13: Food Rules: Date Rocked


Sunday was with filled with family dinner and car shopping! I tried to stay offline as much as possible as to really connect with my family! Laughing and eating and enjoying time at the dinner table all together! Note: Michael Pollan's Food Rule # 59: Try not to eat alone!! We enjoyed grilled burgers for lunch and then tacos for dinner! I loaded up on beans, lettuce, tomato and other yummy veggies! Dinner was simple and delicious...and most importantly made at home including the french fries (food rule 39: Eat all the junk food you want as long as you cook it yourself!) 
Car shopping! Mleh! When I moved back to KC without a vehicle I knew that saving up and finding a car to get me around without spending a lot of money was going to be my first goal! So I have been working hard and finally began the search! I know pretty much nothing when it comes to cars so this search might take awhile! Instead of telling a friend I was afraid of getting a lemon (ie. shitty car that will be no good) I said I was afraid of getting half a chicken?! Who am I?


Did a little late night yoga with my new app that I downloaded! 
So I didn't totally stay offline...come evening time I got bored!
My boredom led me to this awesome yoga app. 
and this app...which I have not downloaded yet but still very curious! 

Monday I worked and enjoyed a beer with my co-worker before heading home. 


Would love to have the green boots...plus everything else! 


Wasn't feeling great but still went on a date!

So, date took me to dinner and then we watched a "Scary" movie!
Visited Blanc Burger again and I ordered the Black Bean burger that I didn't eat!
I was more interested in talking ;)
Still, I must try to re-create this burger although,
 I am pretty sure my fellow Kansas City IIN student friend already did! Check it out here!
Did I mention I had another great date?! He He by the looks of my face while eating the burger its probably best I waited until I got home :)
